Traditional Chinese Medicine

Individual care through a Chinese Medicine lens.

Our approach begins with a personalised consultation and TCM diagnosis using observation, listening and smelling, inquiry, and palpation. Chinese herbal medicine and other traditional methods are then selected according to your individual pattern and treatment goals.

A distinct clinical tradition

Our approach begins with a personalised consultation and TCM diagnosis, using observation, listening and smelling, inquiry, and palpation to understand your individual pattern of health. Treatment is then tailored to you, rather than focusing solely on the location of your symptoms.

Treatment methods

Selected for the individual

01

Chinese herbal medicine

A personalised herbal approach that may help support the body’s natural balance, resilience and recovery, based on your individual TCM pattern and treatment goals.

02

Cupping therapy

A traditional TCM technique using gentle suction to help release tight muscles and fascia, improve local circulation, and support the body’s natural recovery.

03

Moxibustion

A traditional TCM therapy using dried mugwort to deliver controlled heat to specific areas, which may promote local blood flow, relax muscles and influence pain responses to support recovery.

04

Tui Na & Gua Sha

Traditional TCM hands-on techniques using targeted pressure and gentle scraping to selected points and areas of tension. They may help release muscle and fascial tension, improve circulation, and support pain relief and recovery.

05

NeuroKinetic Therapy

A movement and muscle-testing system offered specifically by Ethan to explore coordination, inhibition and compensation patterns.

NeuroKinetic Therapy

Looking beyond the painful area

NeuroKinetic Therapy (NKT) is a movement assessment system that uses muscle testing to explore how the body coordinates movement. It looks for muscles that may be under-working, over-working or compensating for another area.

This can be useful when the site of discomfort does not appear to tell the whole story. Ethan may use NKT to add another perspective to movement retraining and to guide an individual treatment plan.

NKT is provided by Ethan as a distinct part of his clinical work. It does not replace medical diagnosis, and its suitability is considered during consultation.
